Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Please keep checking the government’s latest advice on what you can do to keep yourself and others safe. We’ve also carried out a risk assessment to make sure that we comply with the government’s guidance on managing risk and being ‘Covid-19 Secure’.

We’re closely monitoring infection rates in our areas and the need to respond to any local lockdowns or other restrictions at short notice. If this is the case, we’ll restrict our face to face services in affected regions but will continue with essential services.

To protect our customers, we’re pausing the face to face installation of care alarms and only attending to critical faults – to help support you, we also have some self-help guides and videos available on request.

Welcome to Sovereign Careline.

Sovereign Careline is a small organisation within Sovereign Housing Association dedicated to supporting older and vulnerable people living in their own homes. This allows our customers greater independence and freedom to pursue their own lifestyles than living in residential care.

This support is achieved through using high technology monitoring and communication devices in the customer's home. The customer can then easily summon help themselves.

These services are monitored by our highly trained and experienced operators from our care centre, based in Newbury. When our operators receive a call from a customer, they will take whatever action is required to deal with the situation. This could include: simply talking to and reassuring the customer, calling a neighbour or relative, calling a scheme manager or social worker or, when required, calling the emergency services.
